Rodrigo Andrian, born in Rio de Janeiro, graduated with a degree in Art History at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). He currently resides in the beautiful Petrópolis Imperial City, an environmental preservation district where his studio is located.

Andrian investigates pictorial space by using linear movements to map out geometric and organic shapes on the painting's surface. These shapes are mediated by a combination of neutral and vibrant colors to give the impression of distinction between primary and secondary spaces.

Andrian's work depicts typically Brazilian subject matter, such as Brazilian animals, popular culture and current social issues. He has exhibited his work in Rio de Janeiro, New York and Milan, among others. His paitnings have also been featured in magazines such as Visual ArtBeat, Art Takes Times Square, and Bazaar.
