Liu Zhong - Panda Exhibition

We are proud to present a week-long exhibition of world renowned artist Liu Zhong's Panda Paintings in the last week of February.
 

Liu Zhong, born in 1969 in Beijing, holds a Master of Plastic Arts and Bachelor of French from the Ministry of National Education in France. A very actively involved figure in the Chinese and international art worlds, his impressive list of credentials include acting as the director of the Public Relations department of China Artists Association, deputy secretary-general and executive director of Chinese Painting Institute, senior member of the Youth Federation of China's State Organisation and member of the Standing Committee of the Youth Federation of Beijing, director of Beijing Association for Etnic Groups, and Panda Publicity Ambassador of Ya'an, among others. His works have ben exhibited in France, the United States, Russia, Egypt, Canada, Spain, Italy, Norway, Singapore, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland, Finland, Latvia, Mongolia, and won many prizes from home and abroad.

In July 2008, an exhibition of Liu's work was included in the festivities at the Olympic Cultural Festival to mark 35 years of his professional life's achievemnts. His paintings were the only personal paintings to be selected for the event by the 29th Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games.

From June to September 2009, Liu Zhong held "The Ode to Nature - Exhibition of Liu Zhong's Paintings" upon invitation at the 53rd Biennale de Venise. This marked the first exhibition of a Chinese artist at the Biennale de Venise since its inception in 1895. 

May 1st - October 31st in 2010 saw Liu Zhong's "Our Friends - Exhibition of Liu Zhong's Paintings" held in the China Pavilion at the 41st Shanghai World Expo.

In August 2011 Liu held "Panda and Their Friends - Exhibition of Liu Zhong's Paintings" in the 26th Shenzen Universiade upon inivitation.  

In July 2012, the London Representative Office in China was held in Beijing, featuring his show "The Next Station London." At the same time, his works were exhibited at two separate sites to celebrate the 30th Olympic Games in which London was the hosting city.
